October churches

Mark on November 2, 2010

God blessed us in the month of October with the opportunity to visit 5 churches. And Jen also spoke at a Ladies Missionary meeting.  The whirlwind began in with a 4 day missions conference at Bible Baptist Church in Newark, OH.  We provided a children's missions conference for the kids and spoke during AWANA council time.  We appreciated the many people we met and who provided meals, lodging and friendship to us. The Creekmore family were gracious hosts and made us feel welcome.  We even were able to spend a day with the Creekmores at CoSI (science museum in Columbus). Then Jen spoke at a Ladies missionary breakfast in Baltimore, OH.  She shared her testimony and how her earthly adoption parallels her spiritual adoption.  Next we were at Patterson Park Church. We did a mission emphasis for children during both services on Sunday to promote their missions celebration the next week. They kids were great and we connected with some friends we had not seen in a long time. We traveled to Indiana to Aboite Baptist Church in Fort Wayne, IN. We did a missions presentation during two AWANA council times.  Pastor McGuire and his family were kind to provide us dinner.  The following Sunday we were at Bethel Baptist Church in Savannah, OH. We spoke in Sunday school, taught children's church and presented our ministry in the evening service.  We enjoyed our time with the Bouquet family during the afternoon and appreciated their kindness and genunine interest in us.  We finished out the month at Calvary Baptist in Marysville, OH. We presented our ministry in Sunday school and taught children's church.  We appreciated Pastor Matt and his help in getting us set up and ready.  We also enjoyed staying after church for an all church carry-in.  Yum!

God blessed us with churches who invited us to come.  We enjoyed meeting God's people who are serving Him in Ohio and Indiana.  God is at work all over the world!  Traveling to different churches gives us the privilege of expanding our view of the family of God.  Sometimes we can get so caught up in the ministry of our own church that we forget that the work of God is a global work and His family is worldwide.  It is exciting to see the opportunities, skills, talents, relationships, etc. that God has given each church to reach their communities for Him.  We pray that we will be able to partner with these churches and be part of their ministry to the ends of the earth!
